Things to Do in Carrollwood - The Carrollwood Cultural Center

The Carrollwood Cultural Center is located at 4537 Lowell Rd. in Tampa and it provides cultural and educational programs, events, and performing arts throughout the area. Beginning with the partnership between the HillsboroughCounty and the Friends of Carrollwood Cultural Center, this 26,000 square-foot facility features a stage, dance floor, art studios, computer lab, and conference rooms offering classes, performances, room rentals, and gallery displays.

NOTE: The center has canceled some events this year but is ramping up for winter and 2021 so put a few events on your calendar.

Looking to spend a rainy afternoon indoors? Check out the Carrollwood art gallery that is constantly changing. The center has multiple galleries throughout the building including the main theater for exhibits, featured artists in the lobby, accord or designed for guests artists and shows, and atrium for larger works, and alcoves for sculptures and designs. Whether it's just wandering the halls, or taking in an art class or two, the Art Gallery is a wonderful place to get inspired.

Performing Arts

The Carrollwood Cultural Center offers a variety of events and performances year-round. Whether it's local talents or international guests, singers, dancers, and theater groups, there are multiple events and performances year-round such as the Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Titanic the Musical, Muppet Treasure Island, and many more.

Jazz

With big-box bands, local artists, Jazz Through the Ages with Cyprus Creek Jazz Band, and The Ladies of Motown. If you are into jazz, the center has a variety of artists and events year-round.

Clubs & Groups

Carrollwood Cultural Center has many groups and clubs throughout the year including a bridge club, book club, Shakespeare in the Park, Women Authors book club, Tampa Bay Thinkers, and the Carrollwood Winds, a concert band comprised of local community members from the high school to college-level performed by conductor Reed Stricsek.

Camps camps

The center features camps for kids of practically all ages. They have camps from ages 4 to 13 and feature drama camps, art, music, dance, and creative fun.

The center features a variety of classes year-round as well including arts and ceramics, dance and theater, private lessons, wellness lessons, and workshops. Whether it's a drawing basics, pottery, ballet for adults, jazz, yoga or even dance classes with heels, there is something for everyone at the cultural center.

North Tampa Market

The North Tampa farmers market is also held close to the cultural center on the second Saturday of every month. You can park at the center and enjoy a wide variety of vendors selling fresh fruits and vegetables, soaps, beverages, and meals. They have live music throughout the summer and a children's market. Whether it's delicious crème brûlée, Irish fudge, or orange and pistachio tea, there's a little bit of everything at the market. Get here early because the parking lot fills up rapidly.

The cultural center is also available for rentals and venue events. Whether it's the kitchen you need, the ballroom, conference rooms, or meeting rooms, let the Carrollwood Cultural Center host your next event.

Excellent center offer a lot free activities. They also have the art lesson too. The are many lesson can be obtained here. It include music, ceramics, language, yoga, acting and more.

This center is very lively. We have the west coast swing dance here. It was fun to mess up the step and get it right. The center provide a lesson to add the color to our community such as art classes. Meet your neighbors.
